For proper working with Face Intellect software package it’s necessary to install and configure video cameras in such a way that the following requirements will be fulfilled:

  1. Maximum deviation of received face photos from the frontal angle is not to exceed +/-15°.
  2. Distance between pupils on the received photos of face is to correspond to requirements of used recognizer:
    1. Cognitec: not less than 96 pixels;
    2. Tevian: not less than 50 pixels;
    3. VisionLabs: not less than 50 pixels.
  3. Mutual occulting of faces is to be minimized.
  4. Faces are to be uniformly illuminated. Directional side illumination is unacceptable.
  5. Photos of faces received from video cameras are to be clear. Image blurring caused by motion must be missed.
  6. Sharpness of faces on the received photos must be over 64 grayscale. Deficient or exceeding illumination is unacceptable.

Note

Distance from camera to face is not restricted. The matter of distance selection is solved by choice the lens with required focal distance

For VisionLabs recognition module size of photo added to the database is configured in the CascadeDetector::SizeHint settings section of the config.xml file located in the <Directory of the Intellect software installation>\Modules\FaceRecognition\VisionLabs\data.
