  • Disable the Data execution prevention (DEP) function for Intellect software package

Disabling Data Execution Prevention (DEP) should be made only on the recommendation of AxxonSoft technical support specialists.

To disable the DEP function for the Intellect software package, do the following:

  1. Go to the Start – Control panel – System menu.
  2. In the opened window go to the Additional tab and click the Parameters button in the Performance group.
  3. In the Performance Options opened window go to the Data executing prevention tab (1).
  4. Set a switch in Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select: (2).
  5. Click the Add… button and using the standard diolog of files opening specify the path to the intellect.exe executable file which is located in the Intellect installation directory.
  6. Intellect item will appear in the programs list. Ensure that the checkbox is set opposite of this item (4).
  7. Repeat 5-6 staps for Modules\, slave.exe and Modules\wizardhost.exe files.


     To add the file go to the Modules folder in the files opening dialog and enter the name of this file with resolution in the File Name field. Click the Open button.
  8. Click the OK button in the Performance Options window(5).
  9. Click the OK button in the System window.

Disabling of DEP for Intellect is completed.


It is also possible the full DEP disabling on the computer. For full DEP disabling perform the bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff command using the Windows command line from the <Windows>\system32 directory.
